altSome of you may still be recovering from the ear piercing primal screams I released upon arrival to Kathmandu a few days ago when I opened my military grade camera case to discover my workhorse JVC HD camera in pieces.

 

After I conducted a series of troubleshooting tests and exhausted my backups (no thanks to JVC), our Himalayan HealthCare project was in jeopardy.   I headed to Facebook and Twitter with a worldwide  SOS for assistance.   Within minutes we were slammed with suggestions, contacts, words  and offers of support to repair or replace the camera.  Isn’t modern technology awesome?
